Rudder Cut Cay to Georgetown - day 190

We left Rudder Cut around 8 am long after most of the other boast we were with. They left at first light so they could do some fishing on the way to George Town. It worked out well for them and several big Mahi Mahi were their reward for the early start.

There was no wind so we spent a long and uneventful day motoring. The wind started picking up just as we arrived the cut at the top of Stocking Island. As we got closer to the anchorage we could see the hundreds of boats anchored along the shores of the island. We knew it was going to be a lot of boats but it was still kind of amazing to see first hand.

Our buddy boats were an hour or two ahead of us and had already anchored at the south end of Stocking Island by the Sand Dollar Beach so we headed down that way to join them. Since very strong easterlies (gusting to 30 knots) were forecast for the next couple of days we decided to grab a mooring ball instead of anchoring.

Shortly after we arrived, we were invited to an impromptu dinner on our friend's boat to help enjoy the freshly caught Mahi and we were more then happy to accept! We spent a lovely evening enjoying fish tacos and good company.

At the end of the evening we hopped in our dingy to head back to our boat. We quickly realized that finding your anchor light in an anchorage with hundreds of boats is a rather challenging endeavour. Eventually however, after a few wrong turns, we managed to track down Lei Line and settled in for the night.
