Summerside - day 26 and 27

We spent our first full day in Summerside taking it easy and recovering from our long hard sail. Aria and I decided to do some shopping as there was a boardwalk with restaurants and cute tourist shops just around the far side of the harbour. Aria managed to find some treasures at a very funky little thrift store. We lazed about for the afternoon and then had a nice dinner at one of the restaurants on the boardwalk.

Our plan for the next day was to rent a car to go check out Cavandish and Green Gables but as it turned out there was not a single car available to rent in all of Summerside. So instead Jesse got a hair cut (he’d been looking a little scruffy) and then we went for lunch at JMK Fish Market. They are mostly a fish retailer but they also have a small kitchen with great reviews. We ended up getting the lobster roll and seafood chowder. They were both amazing, huge chunks of super fresh lobster!! It very much satisfied the lobster craving I had developed while dodging all the lobsterpots in the Northumberland Straight. Since we couldn’t get a car in Summerside we decided to leave the next day for Charlottetown where there were car rentals available. So, after an earlyish dinner and an Episode of Anne of Green Gables anime (thanks Uncle Scott for letting us know such a thing exists). We got to bed so we could set off early the next morning.
