Crab Cay to Great Abaco - day 260 to 262

We were at Crab Cay for a couple of nights while we had some strong southeast winds. We went ashore the first day and I somehow managed to knock a coconut out of a tree with another coconut. We attempted to get a couple more by boosting Aria up a tree, but without much luck. They are pretty well attached on there, and as much as we hit them with our boat oar, they weren't coming down.

On day two we went ashore and de-husked the one coconut we did find, and had some fresh coconut that evening which was nice. Also used some in our dahl for dinner. Tasty.

The winds were shifting south west on day three, so we decided to move anchorage back towards Green Turtle. We still wanted to get there and we just haven't had the right winds to get there yet. So we figured we'd get close and then as the wind lightened up we could anchor up there and explore and re-provision a bit.

The winds were pretty strong from the south and we had a quick closehauled sail on one tack. kjThe wind was gusty and direction kept changing, which is tricky, but explains the weird looking track.

We anchored on the south side of the Sea of Abaco across the way from Green Turtle, hoping to get some protection from the south winds, but this turned out not to have worked very well. The waves continued to come up the channel there and although we had some wind protection it was very rolly at anchor and quite unpleasant. But not a lot of great options in these winds so we'll stick it out.
