We spent two nights at anchor in Fort Pierce Inlet. Where we had anchored was right beside a beach where we could easily row to shore and leave the dingy. So we did that, and got some groceries, pizza, ice cream and all the good things that are usually hard to get on the boat. The next day we made plans to head to Jensen Beach.
It is just a short little hop from the anchorage at Fort Piece inlet to Jenson beach, about 15NM down the ICW. Not much to say for this one. We weighed anchor and motored the few hours down the very straight stretch of ICW to Jenson Beach. We booked a mooring ball here, and are planning to do some provisioning to get ready for our crossing to The Bahamas.
The mooring field is neat, you can book online, choose the ball you want to reserve, and the mooring includes access to onshore facilities with showers and laundry. It's a very convenient setup.
