Halifax - day 43, 44, and 45

We had a long list of things we wanted to get done while in Halifax. The yacht club was a fair way out of town so we planned on renting a car but once again found there to be no cars available. Our timing wasn't very good it being Labour Day weekend. The place we most wanted / needed to go was The Binnacle. It's one of the largest chandleries in Canada and we were very interested to visit it. It was several kilometers from yacht club but there were parks and paths along the water to explore along the way so we decided to walk it. The parks and trails that we found were beautiful. Aria even stumbled upon a random rope swing in the woods.

After spending a long time and a lot of money at The Binnacle we decided to continue walking and headed for dinner. Our goal was a chinese restaurant called Look Ho Ho that has been in business for 60+ years. By the time we got there we were all tired and starving. Luckily to the food was excellent!

Once we were fed we had one last mission to complete. We were very in need of some groceries so off we set for to the Sobey's. Which was thankfully close and conveniently had a liquor store next to it. After we were all provisioned up we called an Uber and were finally done walking. According to my step counter we walked about 11Km total.

The next day we had planned on doing some sightseeing but we were all tired from our epic walk the day before so we decided to stay put, working on boat projects and laundry. It was a nice relaxing day and Aria and Jesse even found time to try out the pool. It was just the restful sort of day we needed.

Our last day in Halifax we finally did some real sightseeing. We started with the Immigration Museum it was really interesting and was well worth the visit. Next we headed off to tour the HMCS Sackville, a WWII era corvette class ship, the last of it's kind. It was an escort ship during the war, then turned into a research vessel for a while, and then finally fitted back out as a museum. We then stopped at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, but only had a little over an hour. Could have easily spent more time here...

Aria wanted to go to an arcade while we were in the city and we had found one in the basement of a microbrewery nearby. It was full of pinball machines and classic video games. The classic pinball machines were amazing and all three of us had a great time!

We headed back down to the boardwalk to look for somewhere to eat dinner. We wanted to try a very highly recommended restaurant called the Bicycle Thief but they had an hour and a half wait so instead we ended up at the sushi place next door and were not disappointed. After a long but very enjoyable day we called one last Uber to bring us back to the yacht club so we could rest up before leaving the next morning.

We didn't take very many pictures while we were in Halifax sometimes we just don't feel like pulling out the cameras.
