Lunenburg - day 48

We had a really wonderful day in Lunenburg. We were on a mooring ball, but it was a short row into the public dingy dock, and short walking to all the attractions.

You can read about more of the day on Aria's blog

I will mention the mooring balls were great, provided by the Boat Locker Chandlery. You just give them a call, and they will assign you a ball. Also the Chandlery itself is great, and we even found our long sought over right handed locking nuts for our lifelines!

The Atlantic Maritime Museum was also a must stop. Very well staffed, and the people working were super knowledgeable. Fun fact we didn't know, Great White Sharks are in the waters we are sailing here in Nova Scotia. Using tracking they have been following individual sharks and it seems they frequent the cost of Nova Scotia. We didn't see Keji out on the waters (thankfully), but he does seem to spend some of the year around these waters. It might take some convincing to get Aria to ever swim again.

We also stumbled upon Lunenburg sausage. We found it at the grocery store and is it ever good. I guess it's a local thing, but probably the best sausage we've ever had.

And of course, seeing the Bluenose II is very cool. Lunenburg is certainly one of our favourite stops thus far, wish we had a little more time here!
