Pungo Creek to Belhaven - day 285

Theone had us up early as she was eager to see a doctor, and we motored straight over to the town docks in Belhaven. It was a bit sketchy getting onto the docks, as it was pretty shallow, but the docks themselves are quite nice. We came in and got some info from a Norwegian boat that the basin is very shallow and with our draft probably wasn't the best place to venture. So after nosing in, and seeing just barely more than 6 feet, we backed out, and then turned around and backed into the spot at the end of the dock so we wouldn't have to turn around in there. This worked, our depth sounder was reading less than 6 feet at the dock (not sure how that works) but we seemed to be floating.

Tied up, Theone fled to the clinic and Aria and I paid for a night at the dock (only a $1 per foot). After a couple of hours Theone was back with antibotics and groceries. The doctor took only a glancing look at the swollen ear before writing a perscription.

With that out the way, Theone took her treatment and Aria and I went into town. Belhaven is super cute and very friendly. We even had someone stop by the boat and give us a little welcome package and offered to drive us anywhere we needed to go. The town has a great selection of little shops and restarants. We got some cheesecakes for later at the bakery, and some ice cream for now. That evening we picked up take out at a mexican restaurant that was really delicious. The restaraunt was crazy busy for such a tiny town, very nice to see.
