Shelburne - day 51 and 52

We booked three nights at the dock in Shelburne Yacht Club to wait out the wind and rain. This was a nice bit of downtime for us again, and it was nice to relax and get a bit of work done, etc.

We went out for dinner at a nice little restaurant called The Emerald Light. Busy little place on a Saturday night, but we got a table after a wait, and it was worth it. Theone had a pulled pork poutine, I had a shrimp po'boy and Aria had a fancy gilled cheese with a nice tomato soup.

Theone did some provisioning on Sunday, and stumbled across a farmers market in town, so we got some nice treats and fresh stuff which worked out really well, and saved a long walk to the grocery store on the other side of town.

Unfortunately our timing wasn't great, and there were a couple of museums we would have liked to visit, but they were closed Sunday/Monday, and we didn't think about them when we first got in.

However, the club here has some very nice showers, and we were able to get all cleaned up. Being on shore power also meant we could run the electric heat which was nice, as it is getting pretty nippy in the night now. I'm very much ready to keep making way south to warmer weather.

Shelburne is a popular port when coming from the US, or heading out that way, and we can see why. The club is really great and certainly a great place to stop and recharge.
