Glass Window Bridge to Hatchet Bay Harbour - day 172

After a rolly and long night, we were excited to get going and get into Hatchet Bay where there is great protection from everything, and thus nice clam waters. We hat lots of room and nice winds so we sailed off anchor and started heading upwind towards Hatchet Bay. Just a couple of tacks to get there, nice short sail today, only 13NM.

We ran into our buddy boat who was coming from current cut also to Hatchet Bay, and had some fun sailing alongside them for a bit on our tack back towards the island. Really great winds for us to be sailing along on.

We dropped the sails and motored into the very narrow inlet to find a nicely protected harbour. We found a nice place to anchor along with our buddy boat, and the catamaran we were anchored with at Meeks Patch a couple days before. Seemed to be good holding and we were all safely anchored up.

We plan to spend a few days here, there are some winds clocking around 360 degrees for the next day, and then some stronger winds coming from the north a few days out, which I think we'll try and just stay anchored up here for. After that we'll continue on.
