kingston to brockville - day 2

The winds did not disapoint and we had a really wonderful downwind sail from Simcoe Island all the way to Brockville. Had some excitement when we unexpectently met the pocker run coming through the 1000 islands. Crazy timing in that we basically met the start of the run at the entrance to Fiddlers Elbow at Ash Island. This is a narrow part of the 1000 islands where you come up to the bridge over to Wellesley Island when crossing to the border. It was a bit of chaos as we put our sails away while boats were wizzing past us. We ended up idling around for a short while watching the spectical before continuing on.

poker run

.

Motored through the narrows and then continued under sail all the way to Brockville. Anhored at McDonald Bay which we've actually stayed at couple of times before. Seems a bit silly to sail entirely through the 1000 islands, but we've done lots of time in the islands, and we need to make up some time on our late start.

Not much wind forcast for the next week unfortunately. Hoping that forecast turns out to not be so good :)
