Paiting the outerhull starts with a lot of sanding and then de-dusting. Coated the hull with Epifanes #800 white 2 part poly-urethane. This ended up being a tricky process. The paint requires a good mask, and is a strange thing to work with. The first two coats went on really nice though, and you can coat within 48 hours without sanding so that was nice.
The final coat I waited 48 hours to lightly sand, and then applied the final coat. I ended up not having enough paint (notice beofore mixing thankfully), and so had to buy another can which was unfortunate. I de-dusted like crazy, but the last coat ended up with either a bunch of air bubbles, or dust, and so has a lot of bumps in spots which can be seen in the photos. This was a bit disapointing, but oh well. Even though I have enough paint for another coat I decided to just call uncle with it, and I'll leave it as is for now. I can do another coat over a winter when I have some time.
Next step, on to varnishing the inside and completing all the bits and bobs...
