Sheephead Cove to Mid Hudson Creek - day 91

We spent 3 nights in Sheephead Cove. Very beautiful area, and we were able to go ashore where there is a large park owned by the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. We did some hiking and geocaching on the trails there both days which was nice. I did some dingy sailing in the evening, and it was nice to just relax for a couple of days.

We decided to take advantage of some nice winds to send us down Chesapeake Bay to another anchorage on the other side of the bay, a 36NM sail scooting downwind and then up to an anchorage called Mid-Huston Creek. Dropped the anchor beside a bright blue catamaran that was in the bay and in front of the mansion that is on the shore here. Very windy, but great holding in mud here so we weren't budging.

Very cold here the past couple of days, down to 6C at night, and only 16C during the day. Looks like the weather will be warmer the next week or so (back into the 20's during the day), so looking forward to that. A little cold weather can be good to motivate us to keep moving though!
